Endres Manufacturing Company Foundation has awarded a total of $20,000 to thirteen different agencies including:
Chippewa Valley Technical College - $500 to fund a scholarship for their Civil Engineering-Structural program.
Waunakee Girl Scout Troop 50 - $400 to support a walking tour of historic downtown Waunakee, whose proceeds will be donated to the Chamber.
Kids Against Hunger - $600 to support the 3rd annual Waunakee “fill” – which has the goal of packaging 120,000 meals. The cost of ingredients is just 10 cents per meal.
Waunakee Ecumenical Board - $1000 for support of the Waunakee food pantry and emergency financial assistance for community residents.
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Dane County - $2000 for the sponsor-a-match program.
Waunakee Public Library - $1000 to create a core collection of audio books in an MP3 format called “Playaway”.
With Wings and A Halo – R.E.A.C.H. a Child - $1000 for programs that deliver children’s books to kids who are in a hospital or crisis situation.
Independent Living, Inc - $3000 to support Home Share Plus, which matches an older or disabled adult with a younger person who provides some personal care, companionship, and housekeeping in exchange for free or low-cost rent.
Combat Blindness Foundation - $2000 to provide free eye care to the disadvantaged and uninsured in South Central Wisconsin via a free community eye care clinic.
Prairie Enthusiasts - $1000 for renovation of a barn to be used for prairie seed cleaning and storage, for maintenance and storage of equipment, and for education.
Partners in Preschool of Waunakee - $2000 for low-income children in Waunakee to have access to preschool programs.
St. John’s School - $5000 that will help fund new student computers for their computer lab.
Engineers Without Borders - $500 to bring light and electricity to a rural village in Guatemala.
Of the $20,000 that was given:
$11,500 went to organizations supporting Health/Human Services/Community
$ 7,500 went to organizations supporting Education/Scholarships
$ 1,000 went to organizations supporting the Environment
The Endres Manufacturing Company Foundation has also donated again to the Dane County Cultural Affairs Commission, and of the $15,000 that the EMC Foundation gifted, a portion of the contribution was awarded to the following organizations:
- MMoCA
- Token Creek Chamber Music Festival
- Wisconsin Chamber Orchestra
- Madison Symphony Orchestra
- Bach Dancing and Dynamite Society
